DIY Fly Fishing Patagonia: From British Columbia to Rio Gallegos

+300 Kilometers of Guided DIY Fishing!

Meet Andrew, an angler from British Columbia.  Andrew and his wife are traveling/touring Patagonia; a mix of fishing and site-seeing. To increase his chances of catching a sea run, I recommended at least three days of guided DIY fishing.  However, he explained to me that he did not have the time to stay longer, and the high cost of a lodge stay was not an option.  So, he booked a one day guided DIY program with us.  In return, we told him that we would do everything possible to put him on fish, wether sea run or resident brown's.

As much as we would like to report, the sea run brown's were not biting that day.  Why? When it comes to sea run trout, it's always hard to say why they are on or off the bite; perhaps it's early in the season, with questionable conditions. The good news?  By the end of the day, Andrew caught a handful of resident brown's and had a great time with our team of guides. Andrew's feedback:

"Hola Mark! I just wanted to drop you a line and say I just had the greatest day with First Cast. We had some food and drink at the end of the day and I got to meet some of his friends. It was an experience I will remember forever."

Thanks
Andrew

Gratitude

To Andrew and all of our clients, we THANK YOU.  Your patronage directly effects the lives of people/families living in the communities we fish.  Why/How?  It's pretty simple; we only work with local guides and business owners, who support our guided DIY philosophy. So, every step of the way, you are working directly with a person who is committed to his/her profession, and is dedicated to their community.
